His unique ability to apply his personal research in nutrition and exercise with his intellectual fortitude and personal approach to interacting with people is impressive. Dr. Paul Arciero was a presenter at a teen Girl Scout Camp held at the Silver Bay Association in upstate New York. We were all pleasantly surprised by the girls’ interest in the Optimal Nutrition Learning Seminar and their follow-through by putting what they learned into action. Dr. Pauls scheduled 30 minute presentation extended to almost two hours because of the ensuing discussion, suggestions, and high interest among the girls! Dr. Paul also had the girls participate in outdoor Yoga and strength training workshops and they learned that yoga can be strenuous and quite a work out and learned how best to use their bodies for optimal fitness. They really enjoyed trying things that were new to many of them. It was wonderful to see the change in the girls’ perspectives and watch them grow in ability and determination during these sessions with Dr. Paul.

I can’t say enough about the presentations given by Dr. Paul. He tailored the program to the age and ability level of the girls and kept them interested throughout all of the sessions.

Dr. Paul Arciero has provided our rowing organization numerous levels of instruction in yoga, nutrition, and the attributes of leading a healthy lifestyle. He has a unique ability to tailor his presentations to meet the needs and expectations of all age groups - from young novice rowers to seasoned adult veterans. I consider Dr. Paul's expertise and scope of knowledge in his field to be unparalleled. As head coach of the Masters (Adult) Rowing Program I attribute much of our continuing success and growth to be a direct result of Dr. Paul's efforts. His clear instruction, timely input, and sensible advice play a key role in molding our rowers into better athletes - physically, mentally, and spiritually. A well rounded athlete is a prepared athlete. Attendance at his yoga sessions and seminars is routinely standing room only. Our experience with Dr. Paul Arciero has been without equal!

Personally, and on behalf of the National High School Athletic Coaches Association, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to you for your role in making the 2002 NHSACA tennis clinic such a success.

Your enthusiasm and expertise greatly enhanced the effectiveness of your presentation. Everyone in attendance gained new insight into the role that proper nutrition and high intensity training plays in competitive tennis. Your on-court demonstrations, while exhausting to watch, were outstanding.

Skidmore College is indeed fortunate to have you as its mens coach. You have provided a wealth of information to the coaches, and ultimately, to the tennis playing youths who are the true beneficiaries of your work.

Good luck to you in all your future endeavors. It was good to see you again after all these years. I hope that our paths will cross again in the not too distant future

Sincerely,

John Pouzzner

I have known Dr. Paul Arciero for nearly 15 years, first as a mentor, then a colleague, and above all, as a friend. He is far and away the best scientist I have ever met, and his work over the last twenty years has greatly enhanced our knowledge of the health benefits of diet and exercise. His true gift, however, is his ability to convey his wealth of knowledge to others and inspire those around him to lead healthier, more balanced lives. This ability is the result of Dr. Paul’s passionate pursuit to continually improve his own life and his genuine commitment in seeing others succeed and improve with him.

After meeting Dr. Paul Arciero, I knew I had to attend Skidmore College to have the benefit of learning the many topics of Exercise Science from him. He was without question the most thorough professor from whom I have ever learned. His enthusiasm for imparting knowledge, his guidance and charisma, and his love for his profession are second to none. I would, without hesitation, recommend Dr. Paul to anyone in need of his services; for I am sure they’ll be entrusted to the very best of his profession. I believe I am a more knowledgeable professional for having had the privilege of learning from Dr. Paul!

As an Athletic Director I’m always trying to find ways to educate and motivate our athletes of striving to do better. Our girl’s cross country team is nationally ranked and I was looking for an individual to speak on training and nutrition needs of highly successful athletes. As an exercise science professor Dr. Paul Arciero is one of the best in his field. He spoke to our athletes and parents who both were highly motivated by his presentation. He is at the cutting edge in his field and knows how to reach your athletes with his presentations.

Many, many thanks for coming to Hartford. I have received nothing but wonderful feedback about your lecture last week!

I received several e-mails and a couple of notes from alums who really enjoyed your presentation. What struck me most is the pride that you have in your students and emphasized how lucky we are to have faculty like you at Skidmore.
Again, thanks!

Your talk, “Optimal Nourishment For The Hospice Volunteer”, was very informative, motivating, and inspiring. It was great to hear about the latest research results and your slides were a great learning adjunct. You clearly conveyed what our giving volunteers need to do to optimally take care of themselves. You presented the information in a way that makes it easy and practical to understand and make changes. I think everyone learned a lot.

Your enthusiasm for the topic is contagious, keep up the great work!
